TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out 30 years ago, as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then, its scope has become even broader, including a diverse mix of topics.
TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with unique conferences and multiple initiatives including the TEDx program. An independently organized program that gives communities self help blog, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
